Veri App – Terms of Service
Effective Date: December 15, 2025
Welcome to Veri App, a product of Tim Brix Engineering and General Service Limited (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By accessing or using Veri App (the “App” or “Service”), you (“User,” “you”) agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). Please read them carefully.
If you do not agree, you must not use Veri App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, downloading, or using Veri App, you confirm that you:
- You must be at least 13 years old to use Veri App. If you are between 13–15 years old in the EU, you must have parental or guardian consent before using the Service. By using the App, you confirm that you meet these requirements.
- Agree to comply with these Terms, our Privacy Policy, and applicable laws including GDPR and the NDPA Act.
2. Services Provided
Veri App enables:
- Verification of products, certificates, and documents using Unique Verification Numbers (UVNs) and QR codes.
- Counterfeit Reporting with optional geolocation tagging.
- Dashboards for manufacturers, institutions, and regulators to manage compliance and monitor counterfeit activity.
- Integration APIs for businesses and regulators.
We may update or modify features at any time to improve the Service.
3. User Accounts & Responsibilities
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login details.
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes.
- Upload false or misleading product/document information.
- Attempt to reverse engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service.
4. Data Protection & Privacy
We process personal data in compliance with:
- GDPR (EU General Data Protection Regulation)
- NDPA Act (Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023)
Data We Collect:
- Verification data (e.g., UVNs, QR scans, product/document info).
- Personal information (e.g., name, email, phone) for account creation.
- Location data (if you choose to enable geotagging for counterfeit reports).
How We Use Data:
- To provide verification services.
- To detect and report counterfeit goods/documents.
- To maintain audit logs and improve service reliability.
- To comply with regulatory or legal obligations.
User Rights:
In line with GDPR & NDPA, you have the right to:
- Access, correct, or delete your personal data.
- Withdraw consent for processing (where applicable).
- Request data portability.
- File complaints with supervisory authorities (e.g., NDPC in Nigeria or your local GDPR regulator).
5. Intellectual Property
All rights in Veri App, including software, design, trademarks, and content, belong to Tim Brix Engineering and General Service Limited.
Users may not copy, distribute, or resell any part of the Service without written consent.
6. Counterfeit Reports & Content Responsibility
Users are responsible for the accuracy of counterfeit reports submitted.
The Company does not guarantee that all reported items will be investigated or acted upon.
We may share counterfeit reports and relevant data with regulatory bodies (e.g., NAFDAC) and law enforcement.
7. Security
We use AES-256 encryption, two-factor authentication (2FA), and blockchain-backed audit trails to protect data.
However, no system is 100% secure. Users acknowledge that they use the Service at their own risk.
8. Payment & Subscriptions
Some features may require a subscription plan or pay-per-verification fee.
Fees will be clearly disclosed before purchase.
All payments are final unless required by law.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Veri App is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind.
- We are not liable for losses arising from counterfeit products, reliance on verification results, service interruptions, or unauthorized use of your account.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that:
- Violate these Terms.
- Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or harmful activity.
- Refuse to comply with legal or regulatory requirements.
Users may delete their accounts at any time through the App.
11. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms periodically. Updated Terms will be posted with a new “Effective Date”, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Nigeria, with reference to GDPR for international users.
Disputes shall first be resolved through negotiation. If unresolved, disputes may be referred to arbitration in Nigeria.
